পল্লী কবি জসীম উদ্দিন এর কবিতা

এই গাঁযের এক চাষার ছেলে লম্বা মাথার চুল,

কালো মুখেই কালো ভ্রমর, কিসের রঙিন ফুল !

কাঁচা ধানের পাতার মত কচি-মুখের মায়া,

তার সাথে কে মাখিয়ে দেছে নবীন তৃণের ছায়া।

কবি জসিম উদ্দীন ১৯০৩ সনের পহেলা জানুয়ারি ফরিদপুর জেলার় তাম্বুলখানা গ্রামে জন্মগ্রহন করেন।বাবার নাম আনসার উদ্দিন মোল্লা। তিনি পেশায় একজন স্কুল শিক্ষক ছিলেন। মা আমিনা খাতুন ওরফে রাঙাছুট। জসীমউদ্দীন ফরিদপুর ওয়েলফেয়ার স্কুল,ও পরবর্তীতে ফরিদপুর জেলা স্কুল থেকে পড়ালেখা করেন।১৯৩৮ সনে ঢাকা বিশ্ববিদ্যালয়ে বাংলা বিভাগের প্রভাষক হিসেবে যোগ দেন। ১৯৬৯ সনে রবীন্দ্র ভারতী বিশ্ববিদ্যালয় কবিকে সম্মান সূচক ডি লিট উপাধিতে ভূষিত করেন।

ওই খানে তোর দাদীর কবর ডালিম গাছের তলে

তিরিশ বছর ভিজায়ে রেখে‍ছি দুই নয়নের জলে

এতটুকু তারে ঘড়ে এনেছিনু পরীর মত মূখ

পুতুলের বিয়ে ভেংগে গেছে বলে ‍কাদিঁয়া ভাষাইত বুক

এখানে ওখানে ঘুরিয়া ফিরিয়া ভেবে হইতাম সাড়া

সারা বাড়ি ভড়ি এত সোনা মোর ছড়াইয়া গেল কারা

মাটি আর মানুষের কবি পল্লী কবি জসিম উদ্দীন। গ্রামের হাওয়া আর ধূলিকণার সাথে যার কবি মন সর্বদা ভেসে বেড়িয়েছে। প্রাণবন্ত ও সহজ উচ্চারণে মানুষের মনের কথাগুলো তিনি সাজিয়েছেন এত সুন্দর করে যে, পাঠক মাত্রই স্বীকার করবেন আমাদের গ্রাম যেন ঠিক জসিম উদ্দীনের অনুরূপ। কবিতার মধ্য দিয়ে কবি তার শহুরে বন্ধুদেরকে নিযে গেছেন পল্লী মায়ের কোলে। গ্রামের আকর্ষণীয় মায়াবী রূপ কবিকে পাগল করেছে বারবার। বাংলার পল্লী সঙ্গীতের সুরে রচিত তার গানগুলো এ দেশের মানুষকে মাতিয়ে তুলেছিল। জসিম উদ্দীনের নকশী কাঁথার মাঠ, সোজন বাধিয়ার ঘাট, বালুচর, ধানতে, রঙিলা নায়ের মাঝি প্রভৃতি কাব্য বিশেষ সমাদৃত ও জনপ্রিয় হয়েছে। এই কাব্যগুলোতে জসিম উদ্দীন অসাধারণ দরদ ও সাফল্যের সাথে সাধারণ মানুষের সুখ-দুঃখের কথা বর্ণনা করেছেন। তিনি ১৯৭৬ সালে ১৪ মার্চ পরলোক গমন করেন।

Poet Jasim Uddin first year to January 1903, was born in the village of Faridpur jelara tambulakhana karenababara name Ansar Uddin Mollah. She was a school teacher by profession. Ranachuta mother Amina Khatun alias. Jasimuddin Faridpur Welfare School, and later studied from Faridpur .1938 joined as lecturer in the University of Dhaka Bengali. In 1969, the D-lit to honor the poet Rabindra Bharati University, was awarded the title.
